The dimensions of every showcase, and how the pieces fit the profile.

Steam shows your artwork in pieces. Each showcase type has its own pieces and its own widths. These are the numbers we make every artwork in the store to.

Artwork and Screenshot showcase

The wide main picture (Mid, 506 px) and the narrow side picture (Tall, 100 px) sit next to each other with a small gap on your profile. The two files are cut from one canvas, so a character can run across both. The artwork showcase and the screenshot showcase take the same files.

Featured showcase

A single picture, 630 px wide, shown as the featured artwork. It has no side piece.

Workshop showcase

Five tiles side by side, each 150 px wide, one file per tile. The tiles are as tall as the template you use (500, 800 or 1024 px), and the artwork is cut so that the picture continues over the gaps between them.

The background

The Steam profile background sits behind the showcase. A good artwork is built on the background it was made for, so the character, the light and the colours match. You can try any background with the free profile preview tool and browse every Steam background.
